Rescue Ladders and Human Barricades I

Rescue Ladders and Human Barricades was the first ever cassette released by  Tommy Tanchangco’s independent label TRC (Twisted Red Cross). It features a compilation of sample recordings from Betrayed, Urban Bandits, Private Stock and Wuds among others. MRR had reviewed this cassette release simply as “a solid ‘Philippino’ compilation with hot cuts…Mostly punk but a couple of rockabilly tracks are thrown in”. Simple review but encouraging for a small DIY label at that time. While not my personal fave of the series, this one still stands out because most material on this release are still demos when this album came out. Bands to watch out here are Urban Bandits, Private Stock and Sex Militants, whose track Bloody Nutter was to me, the most charismatic song in this tracklist.

Hi Homer, nice of you to drop by. Actually, kanya kanyang lipat sa cd. Mine is from a friend. Syempre, the better sounding tape, the better to convert it to cd. I think na re-issue ata some titles in the mid-90’s, but still on tape format.

Matagal din kase mag upload eh. But if you’re really interested in gettting a copy of this album then we can work things out. Just say the word. And thanks for dropping by. Cheers!
